How to Make Charcoal in Minecraft
To make charcoal in Minecraft, you will need the following materials:
  • Wood logs (any type)
Once you have gathered the materials, follow these steps to make charcoal:
  1. Find a furnace. Furnaces can be found naturally in villages or crafted using eight cobblestones arranged in a square shape in a crafting table.
  2. Place the furnace down and open it by right-clicking on it.
  3. Place the wood logs in the top slot of the furnace.
  4. Add a fuel source, such as coal or wooden planks, to the bottom slot of the furnace.
  5. Wait for the furnace to finish smelting the wood logs. This will turn them into charcoal, which will appear in the result box to the right of the furnace.
  6. Drag the charcoal into your inventory to use it.
Note that charcoal can be used as a substitute for coal in most recipes, including torches, campfires, and furnaces. It is also a more sustainable fuel source, as it can be made from renewable resources such as trees, whereas coal must be mined from the ground.
